Future plans list
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
This file lists my plans for the game in the future. If there is
some other feature(s) you would like to see implemented, then by
all means, let me know! :)
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
RIP SUPPORT
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
I am going to add RIP support. At first, this will not be
anything fancy, as I really suck at RIP & ANSI art. But like I
mentioned above, if the game becomes popular, I will obtain some
really nice RIP screens for the game, and maybe even some nice
ANSI's also! Before I add RIP, I want to get everything working
properly.
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
SCRIPT SUPPORT
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
I'm not too sure about this one. I can add this support, but I
will only do so if enough people would like to see it, and would
use it. Script support would allow the non-programming SysOp to
easily write his/her own add ons for the game. It would be a
very powerful script language, yet very easy to use.
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
*** I have begun work on script support and hope to have it ***
*** ready for v1.05, or v1.06 Wide Beta. ***
* This has been put on hold for a while *
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
INTERBBS SUPPORT
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
This would allow BBS's to compete against each other. Each BBS
could have its own planet. The players on each BBS would compete
against the players on the other planets (other BBS's). All of
this support would be integrated into the game, and there would
be no need for external programs (aside from your mailer). G5
would handle all of the external file routines such as zipping
the game files to be sent to other BBS's you are competing
against, and creating the message for your mailer with all of
the proper flags for FIDO.
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
MORE CARD GAMES
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
I will be adding more card games to the option at the inns,
(J)oin in on a card game. Right now it is a simple pick where
the queen is and you win. I am going to add a choice of which
kind of card game the player would like to play when they press
J. Since I'm not a card player (at all!), I will be having
someone help me with this, so the games will be accurate.
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
A BETTER STORY LINE
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
I realize that the game does not have much of a story line. I am
going to start work on this after it has been determined that
most bugs have been found and fixed (after all, the game is still
in the wide beta stage). This will also add a new twist to the
game after a player (or more) has beaten the Raven Morpheous.
What they will have to do next, is find out who is responsible
for building the monster known as the Raven, and destroy him!
After a player has achieved that goal, then the game has truly
been won, and must be reset. Please keep in mind that this has
not been added yet, and it is just my idea for what the game will
become in the near future! ;>
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
CUSTOMIZED PROMPTS
───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────
I have been toying with the idea of adding the ability to
customize the prompts throughout the game. This would allow you
to change the colors of all prompts, the actual text of the
prompts, and even the languages of the prompts! You would also
have the option of giving your users the option to choose between
several different types of prompts. Anyone who is interested in
this, let me know, because I'm not sure if anyone would care to
use it or not! ;>
